Community Care Organization (CCO) is registered Non-Profit and Non-government Organization working for the development and transforming of civil society in Afghanistan.
CCO was established in 2018 and registered with the Ministry of Economy to respond to the needs of vulnerable people.
CCO is established to work and enhance the capabilities of afghan communities in the field of Education, Basic Health Care, Human Rights, Capacity Building, Revenue-Generating activities and Rehabilitation, as well as emergency operations such as assistance distributions (Food/CBT) and responding to emergencies during the course of national disaster.
Founder and Director: Mr. Abdullah Safi, a recognized social worker and philanthropist, founded CCO along with his friends and colleagues. His vision is to aid war-affected Afghan communities, particularly women and youth, by rebuilding livelihoods, restarting schooling, and fostering employable skills.
Current Position and Progress: CCO has over 5 years of cumulative experience in managing programs for international development organizations. Recently, CCO has embarked on a significant partnership with UNDP to address critical socio-economic challenges in Afghanistan.
CCO's program goals cover key areas including Agriculture, Education, Health, Women and Human Rights, and Livelihood. The organization is committed to sustainable initiatives that economically empower communities, improve healthcare accessibility, enhance educational opportunities, and promote gender equality. The collaboration with UNDP further strengthens our efforts to achieve these objectives.
CCO's operational approach revolves around community-focused peace-building initiatives with total transparency. It aims to extend activities to other regions based on growing demand from communities. The organization is committed to hiring, training, and retaining quality, gender-balanced staff and maintains fully resourceful offices in the field and in Kabul for effective coordination.
